  • Member of the Decision & Control Development Team responsible for the development of production motion planning software that provides optimal target motions that are smooth and secure to enable autonomous driving. 
  • Responsible for the development, simulation, implementation, integration, and testing of motion planning algorithms for safety critical autonomous vehicle systems for real production products. 
  • Use agile processes and C++ code to develop real-time software and collateral.
  • Work in modern simulation environments and have direct access to test vehicles to rapidly experience your results first-hand. 
  • Work on a self-guided cross-functional team and interface globally where you will help make decisions. 
  • Mentor the team on technical issues, tools, and processes as necessary. 
  • Work in a team environment, make significant contributions to the creation and implementation of active safety features for autonomous vehicles, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS).  
  • Conduct in-vehicle testing and system debugging on prototype vehicle platform.
  • Use of MATLAB/Simulink, C++ programming, Python, dSPACE HIL/ControlDesk, CAN, AUTOSAR, Linux, Model-based system development, and Functional Safety (ISO 26262)


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science 
  • You must have a strong background and prior experience with mission planning, route planning, motion and trajectory planning techniques (e.g. A*, D* and RRT/RRT*). 
  • You should have experience with optimization-based planning techniques and be familiar with vehicle dynamics and kinematics. 
  • Past experience with robotics, behavior planning, UAV or other autonomous systems is needed. 
  • Strong C++ programming skills and comfort working in a Linux environment.
