Our Perception Team is looking for a Systems Engineer! The Perception Team at Zenuity develops algorithms that use sensor (camera, RADAR, LIDAR, Ultrasonic, IMU, GPS, etc.) data to determine the position and orientation of the vehicle and surrounding objects to enable safe operation on designated roads.  

 You will work closely with our Functional Safety Engineers and Systems Architects as you craft the functional and safety requirements for the Localization/Perception algorithms and assure they are well-aligned with the larger safety goals of the system and system architecture.

 You will work on self-guided cross-functional Agile teams, using agile processes to develop to develop perception/localization strategies at all level of sub-system layer of implementation, including SW requirements, SW architecture and technical safety concept.  You will be exposed to modern simulation environments and test vehicles to rapidly experience our results first-hand.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science
  • Requirement Management experience (DOORS, Jama, Polarion, etc.)
  • Prior experience developing system and/or sub-system architecture, requirements which are clear, concise, unambiguous, and testable. 
  • Prior experience developing safety critical requirements or working on systems that are safety critical in nature.  
  • Experience with ISO 26262 or ASPICE.  

Nice to have: Beneficial skills and experience include knowledge of:

  • Localization algorithms
  • Knowledge of automotive sensor for autonomous vehicles (camera, RADAR, LIDAR, ultrasonic, GPS, IMU)
  • Software design 
  • JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with C and C++
  • AUTOSAR knowledge
  • System and software testing, 
  • Software integration
  • Experience with Git, Gerrit
  • Additionally, experience with robotics, ROS, and/or UAVs is beneficial.
